Outside, the garden is a delight: beautifully planted and lovely to wander around. A short stroll will take you to the nearby friendly pub, The Hunter's Moon, as well as the lovely parish church of St. Cadoc's. Recently restored and saved from ruin by the energetic local priest, this little church has an interesting fresco of St. George, uncovered during the renovations. Offa's Dyke path goes right past the church, and a pretty walk down the hill will take you to Cwm Farm, where a fascinating cider press was restored by a local preservation trust. This can be visited on dedicated open days: see www.villagealivetrust.org.uk for dates.
