Stunning views, rural panoramas outside Llwyn Howell holiday cottage

The ground floor has a lovely spacious kitchen/dining room with an oil-fired Aga and a generous wood burning stove. When you step into the room from the outside porch, you are greeted by the lovely warmth from the Aga. Delightful touches such as the red Kitchen Aid ‘Artisan’ espresso machine/grinder and the kitchen blender make this space a complete joy for the cook, while plenty of old beams and big stone flags reveal the building’s 17th-century origins. There is a downstairs shower room with power shower, loo and hand basin; and a little snug room with a pretty open fireplace is ideal for reading or watching TV and DVDs. The main sitting-room has a top-of-the-range wood burning stove, a TV, and two comfy sofas and an armchair, where the view through the window is as wonderful in winter as in summer.

The garden has a magical view from the front of the house, as well as plenty of space behind (plus fields around), a fantastic climbing-frame-cum-tree house, a swing and a trampoline with safety net. A table and chairs sit on the lawn in front of the house for enjoying sunny meals, evening drinks and making the most of the far-reaching view and the varied wildlife.

Via email to the owners:

Hello Bill, Kara & family,

Just wanted to say a big thank you for letting us stay in your cottage.  In our attempts at leaving this morning (stopping the two year old unpacking again and AGAIN!) I forgot to sign the guest book, apologies.

So wanted to send a message to say thanks so much for an amazing break.  The place was incredible, the treats unexpected and very welcome, your recommendations of attractions and shops etc were amazing - we bought from Pigs Folly butchers (great steak, sausages and bacon!), visited the adventure farm at Cantref - Ruben had a cracking day trying everything (Im not apologetic in saying I did too, the sledge slide thingy was good fun) and Hay was all I imagined and more.  The stand out place for all of us though was Llangrannog - we had a day on the beach, in brilliant sunshine yesterday, Ruben was in and out the water and up and down the sand all day long and to top it off we had some peanut butter ice cream which was some of the best we've ever had.

We looked at each other this morning and for the first time ever whilst being on holiday both said it didn't feel like it was time to go home.  Normally after a break, we're ready to come home, but this time we could have stayed for week after week.

Thank you for everything and hopefully you'll see our names again soon on the booking list!

Hope the wren (if it is) does well with her chicks.

Mark, Karen & Ruben (from Cheshire)

"Fantastic cottage and a brilliant Easter break; we cannot praise Llwyn Howell enough... AGA, open fires, tree house, books, coffee machine and badminton...bliss..."
Gavin, Claire and Ruby, Cambridge.

"We have had a wonderful week, perfect for kids and grown-ups. Jac (our 3 -year-old) was in his element, running free in the gardens. We will be returning soon." Andrew, Mary, Gemma, Jac and Oliver, Carmarthenshire.

"Thank you, Dent family, for sharing your lovely cottage with us. So much has gone into making Llwyn Howell so brilliant!" Caro and family, Wiltshire.
