Ideal for exploring all that the area has to offer, from bookshops in Hay-on-Wye to ancient monuments, such as nearby Offa's Dyke. This Welsh holiday cottage is surrounded by idyllic landscape, and because it is an organic farm, wild flower meadows, streams, copses and hedgerows are rich in wild fauna and flora. Views of the countryside and nearby Welsh Black Mountains stretch out for miles around, making this the perfect romantic hideaway in Wales.
Available for year-round rental, Blaentrothy Cottage provides luxury self-catering accommodation in Wales. It comprises a self-contained wing of Blaentrothy Farmhouse, in what used to be the old wain house with the granary above. Stylishly decorated by the owners to a very high standard, the accommodation is comfortable and luxurious while retaining all the charm of the old farm building. All the fixtures and fittings are new, so that modern convenience is combined with the beauty of ancient oak beams, mullion windows and old red sandstone to create a wonderful fusion of old and new - a unique holiday cottage in the UK. The self-catering accommodation sleeps two adults, and a cot is available for a baby under one year old, if required. The cottage has its own entrance and footpath from the parking area and its own private area of garden with outdoor seating. An elegant spiral staircase connects the two floors.

The holiday cottage is fully equipped with modern appliances: a stylish kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, tv, video and music centre. A supply of Welsh guidebooks, novels, magazines, videos, CDs and games will help you make the most of your relaxing holiday. Central heating, wood-burning stove, comfortable sofa and armchair, goose-down duvet, electric blanket and plentiful hot water will keep you warm in the colder months. The large bedroom has a double bed with beautiful bedlinen, a stylish bathroom, luxury shower, roll-top bath, heated towel rail and, of course, fluffy towels! In the summer months, sit down with a drink on the terrace, survey the meadows and enjoy the sun set. A set of boules provides gentle summer entertainment. A barbecue is also provided.
It can be difficult to find appropriate holiday accommodation if you have a baby. Your baby will have a warm welcome at Blaentrothy Cottage. We provide all the equipment, including a cot, change mat, high-chair, baby bath and a bottle-steriliser.
Being only 2 1/2 hours from London, Blaentrothy Cottage provides a perfect Welsh holiday cottage or a base for a longer vacation.
